Flight Photos for 1978
To stem an influenza outbreak among basic trainees in February of the year, BMT restricted trainees to train only with sister flights. In all, more than 400 trainees were hospitalized through June. There were no unsupervised recreational activities and no base or town liberties and BMTlife returned to normal as the flu season passed.
