Flight Photos for 1954
Male trainees went on a bivouac and field exercise in a part of Lackland called "Little Korea," as well as being exposed to real bullets at the Fire Lane Confidence Course. Even after its length was reduced to 11 weeks on 1 February 1954, the BMT Curriculum was still able to offer this time consuming activites that resembled those in the Army Basic Combat training. Ironically, these peacetime recruits had the benefit of training that many who actually fought in Korea had missed during the winter of 1950-51.
