I noticed that my BMT group photo was not included on this website. I have scanned a copy of the photo for posting on this site. After completion of BMT in Oct 1967 I remained on Amarillo to attend Administrative Specialist Training while assigned to the 3320th. Please feel free to contact me for additional documentation. I spent twenty years in the Air Force, retiring in 1988 while assigned to HQ SAC Data Automation, Offutt AFB NE.

I joined the Air Force in March of 1979 and was in the
3703 flight 202.
At the time, I didn't know what I had gotten myself into but quickly got into the groove.
Sure, Basic Training was not the most fun but I learned a lot and got into shape.
I remember the endless chores, marching and learning all the things that were needed.
It only took a short time until I got a whole new perspective and thankfully so.
I was honorably discharged in 1983 and I can tell you there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about my time in the Air Force.
Now that 30 years have gone by, many of us have rekindled old friendships, not only on Facebook but in private reunions as well.
I am proud of my time in the Air Force and any person that is thinking about joining, should not hesitate to make that first step.
God Bless America and the United States Air Force!

almost 5 years ago.....
almost 5 years ago I made the very random decision to join the Air Force. It was awesome. I'm back into civilian life now, but I remember basic like it was yesterday. I had TSgt Schmidt, SSgt Killewa...I think is how you spell it... and SSgt Matthews. They were crazy as hell and a bunch of newbies when it came to female flight, but it was an amazing experience. BASIC TRAINING MEMORIES FROM 1990
Well I remember it Today like it was Yesterday like many Airman Have!! It was a scorching Hot Texas day on August 28, 1990, My first Day at Lackland A.F.B. Texas!
I was eager with anticipation and a Stong Desire to make it though Basic Training and onto a Rewarding USAF Career, Thats why I was in delayed Enlistment at age 16.. I WAS GOING TO MAKE IT! I had absolutely NO CLUE what I was in For, or what It took to get through it, but I did not have the Word "Quit" in My vocabulary! It was very, very tough to get through Basic Training for me, A very challenging time in my life at age 18.. Well I made it, and I am Proud to say I am still wearing my U.S.A.F. Uniform today! I have to give a HUGE Thank You to my "TI's" SGT. BAILEY, And SSGT. TIJERINA! They made me what I am Today! SSGT. Nicholas R. Glorioso VTANG
