3334 BMTS flight unk
Started basic training at Amarillo on August 18, 1967. Was either in flight 199 or 200. My roommate was Dominick Rose from Chicago. One of our TIs was SSgt Clark and the other was a SSgt with an Italian last name. Anybody out there that remembers any of this? After Amarillo, it was tech school at Sheppard, then first duty station at Shemya AFS in the Aleutians, then Travis......separation in '71....back in the Reserves at O'Hare in '78 and then reserves at Barksdale in '80, then out for good in '83.

Basic at Amarillo
Went into basic at Amarillo on August 18, '67. Can't remember the squasdron but I know the flight was either 199 or 200. One of my roommates was Dominick Rose from Chicago. I was in the old two story open bay barracks too. One thing I remember is trying to fall asleep with the huge racket the birds were making in the trees nearby. I think there must have been thousands of them, all trying to talk at the same time.

I have posted before, but just thought I would try again. BMT started 26 June 69. We were in the new barracks, 2nd floor. SSgt Lake was the TI. Flight number was 1030 maybe. Anyone remember?

Training was from Sep 11, 1967 until Oct 24, 1967.
Does anybody know if we even took a flight picture? I don't remember taking one, but maybe we did.
We had an E-4 TI for the first week or ten days who became ill and was replaced by S/SGT Walsh from Massachusetts.
We were in the old open bay barracks. The last time I was at Lackland, in 1999, it was one of 4 open bay barracks still there. They were deserted then and I don't if they have been torn down by now.

Lost my flt photo years ago. Now I have 2 sons in the AF. Would like to have a photo of my flt to hang on the wall next to theirs. Thanks.
As you probably know the AF did not keep the photos because they were not
official photos. The web site we have on line are photos that have been
donated to us. I get photos in daily and I upload them within a couple
days. Check the site weekly to see if your photos show up. Here is the
information on the current contractor taking the photos, but keep in mind
the contractors change every few years and it is unknown who they are or if
